Anna Friel Talks About Motherhood

British actress Anna Friel, star of ABC's hit dramedy Pushing Daisies, is featured on the cover of the June issue of U.K. InStyle magazine. In the interview she talks about her life, her daughter, and remaining blissfully unwed.

On her relationship with actor David Thewlis (the father of her 2-year-old daughter Gracie):
"It just seems to work as it is right now and there doesn't seem any point. If he'd have said he wanted to marry me, maybe I'd have said yes, but I don't know if we're both marriage-phobes."

On motherhood and Gracie:
"When you're a mother, life just changes. [Gracie is] the most loving child ever. I just tell her how beautiful and lovely she is and how much Mummy loves her."

Tom Cruise Talks to Oprah Winfrey

Tom Cruise and Oprah Winfrey sat down to talk about his life, his family, and his infamous couch jumping incident from 2005. The interview is a two-parter with the second part to air on Monday.

On his couch jumping antics:
"[It] was a moment, and it was real. I just felt that way, and I feel that way about her I can't even articulate it, to be honest. That feeling, that connection. Just who she is and what she means to me."

On his kids Connor and Bella's impressions of Holmes:
"Kate shows up with cupcakes. The cupcakes are there, and they all looked at me like, 'This is cool. Can we eat these cupcakes? This lady's cool.'"

On rumors about his relationship with Holmes:
"That's laughable to me. You just know that [tabloids are] trying to sell it and spin it."

On Connor and Bella growing up reading tabloid reports about him:
"They love me, so they know. They've grown up with that, and I'm sure there are things that they don't like, and you go, 'Okay, that happened, things go wrong, but don't live in it. Don't live in that because today is a new day and there's plenty of tomorrows. They're good people, my children. I'm proud of them.I don't want them to worry. They know I'm there. No matter what, I'm always there."

On whether he's been misunderstood:
"Listen I, I feel like definitely things have been misunderstood, and there are things I could have done better. But then there's also that world where you go, 'Oh, it's been spun to such an extent.' "

Salma Hayek Wants to Create a Better World for Valentina

Another celebrity mom appearing on the People "Most Beautiful" list is new mom Salma Hayek.

Hayek uses the opportunity to talk about her new mission as ambassador for a Pampers/UNICEF program that provides tetanus shots to babies and mothers in developing countries.

"You give them the vaccine, they don’t die," says Hayek. "It's not just about creating a better world for my daughter, Valentina, but also being more passionate about diminishing the suffering of women and children all over the world."

I'd rather be home with Ryder sitting there waxing my legs. I haven't gotten a facial in a million years. I don't do those kinds of things. And when I do, I always think, 'I should do this more often.'"

And We Return to Regular Programming....

After what can only be described as one of the longest weeks of my life, we are now ready to return to regular posting.

Brady is home and feeling much better. It was a very scary week with him having difficulty breathing and having some issues with the antibiotics. Finally, he started to improve on Wednesday and was back home late on Friday. It was music to my ears when I heard him up playing and fighting with his brothers yesterday.

Update: Brady's pneumonia turned nasty on Monday night and he was having difficulty breathing. We rushed him into the hospital in the middle of the night and I've been at his side since he was admitted. He is doing much better and the doctor says he should be able to go home tomorrow.

Hi all,

It's been a long week at Celebrity Moms.

We've been a little lean on postings this week due to my twin sons both having spring colds turn into pneumonia. One of them is feeling much better while the other is currently curled up on my bed sound asleep.

We'll be back up to our regular posting schedule soon.

Travis Barker Is a Dedicated Dad

Travis Barker and his ex-wife Shanna Moakler have had an on-again / off-again relationship over the past couple of years. Despite their tumultuous relationship, Barker has kept his eye on what's most important to him: his children.

"I have my kids every Friday through Monday, and I don't leave them the whole time I have them," Barker said at the Remy Martin Spirit Unleashed launch at Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles "I stay with them the entire, entire time. I don't go out to lunch with a friend and leave them with anybody else. "

Barker and Moakler have two children together – Landon, 4, Alabama, 2. Moakler has another daughter Atiana, 9, with Oscar de la Hoya.

"I'm obsessed with my children. I'm only [at the party] today because I have to stay busy. After work I have to keep my mind off them because I can't be with them."

He does admit that his current relationship with Moakler is a bit difficult. "I don't have the best relationship with her but it's a work in progress. I think it will get better if we learn to be friends. We absolutely, absolutely, absolutely love each other. I think it's more that we have different ideas on how to raise children, and that can like break down the walls of love as far as I’m concerned."

Barker’s philosophy for raising his children comes directly from his own childhood struggles. "My mom died when I was 16. I had a rough childhood, you know what I mean, but it made me strong … I want a certain thing for my children. I just want to be in their life. I don't want nannies raising my kids."

Tom Cruise Returning to The Oprah Winfrey Show

Tom Cruise is heading back to the couch. The actor is scheduled to make an appearance during May sweeps on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

“Tom will be doing the Oprah show,” says his rep Julie Polkes. “He is really looking forward to it.”

The show will appear in two parts and will celebrate Cruise’s entire career.

The episodes will feature a portion shot in-studio with a live audience and a tour around his Telluride mountain retreat.

Cruise last appeared on the show in May 2005 when he memorably jumped up and down on Winfrey’s sofa and proclaimed, “I’m in love!” with his then-girlfriend Katie Holmes.

It breaks my heart to think about it, hearing her say, 'My friends at school saw a picture of me in a magazine and they made fun because I was carrying a blanket.' "

Phillippe has found a positive side of all the attention -- he is often photographed wearing t-shirts with charity Web sites he supports, such as Children's Defense and Africare, "because these pictures go around the world and untold numbers of people see them. One organization told me their web hits went up 2,000 percent overnight after one such image was syndicated."

Britney Spears will be making a second appearance on How I Met Your Mother.

“The show is ecstatic and so is Britney,” a source close to the show said. “She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more.”

The singer/actress is scheduled to film one additional episode. Her appearance on the show earlier this year led to the highest ratings ever for the sitcom.
