Sheryl Crow Is One Strict Rocker Mama!

Rocker Sheryl Crow is featured on the cover of Prevention magazine's May 2011 issue. In the interview she opens up about being a single mom to boys and taking pride in being a strict mom.

Here's the highlights:

On her parenting style:
“I’m strict. They have to understand that somebody’s in charge and sometimes the answer is no. It’s about being consistent.”

On saying no to sons Wyatt, 4, and Levi, 1:
“I really think that you do them a disservice when they get out into the world and they realize they’re not entitled to have everything. I think we’ve gotten to that place where parenting has been equated with making a child happy.”

On being a single mom to two boys:

“I never thought I’d be raising a boy by myself. Now that I’m three and a half years in and I see Wyatt going into a little testosterone phase, I’m like, ‘Whoa!’ But he has great role models. He sees his two uncles and his granddad often.”

My relationship’s important to me. But all three can’t be functioning at 100% at all times."

On being a woman in Hollywood:
“I’m not going to lie, it’s fun to watch. But at a certain point, I go, ‘Wait, strip it all down.’ These girls—I shouldn’t say girls, these women—worked really hard, really hard, and now it’s reduced to … ‘She looks frumpy.’... We’re just too hard on each other. Women need to be more supportive of each other, stop tearing each other apart. There’s plenty of room for all of us. There’s plenty of men for all of us. There’s plenty of jobs. There’s plenty of room! I really believe it. Another actress out there has a number-one movie? They’re going to make more movies about women. A female writer sells a script? They’re going to look at another script from another woman. The better one woman does, the better all women do.”

First she showed off her singing talents on Glee (and just about everywhere else), now she's taking us into her kitchen to show off her cooking skills with the release of her new cookbook, My Father's Daughter. She recently sat down with Ladie's Home Journal to talk about cooking the the world's perception of her.

Here are some highlights:

On her cookbook:
"A way for me to honor my dad [director Bruce Paltrow, who died in 2002]. I called it My Father's Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness because we learned how to cook together. But it's strange. The other day I was thinking, Why did I write a cookbook? And, Why did I say yes to singing at the Country Music Awards? I'll look back at a lot of things I've done and say, "How did I have the guts to do that?"

On food and cooking:
"I'm the classic Jewish mother. I'm always making way too much, and I'm preoccupied with whether people have had enough to eat. When someone walks into my house, the first thing I do is make sure they're fed."

On the biggest misconception about her:
"That I'm uptight. There's nothing uptight about me! I've got this ice-blonde reputation and that's just not me. I do silly things in public all the time, like hosting Saturday Night Live, or I'll go out with friends and have a good time. I try to live my life to the fullest even if it means making a fool of myself."

On her moments of overindulgence:
"There's the me that will have a salad, a bowl of pasta and a glass of wine, and then there's the other me that will have four glasses of wine, fried zucchini, pasta, chicken parmigiana and dessert. I try not to do that other version too much. I was at a party having dinner next to Mario Batali and he was like, 'You're the only person I know who eats more than me.'"

On her life motto:
"Try your hand at whatever you're passionate about. I've taken whatever little bit of talent I was born with and worked it to death."

"I don't see myself in those girls. I usually put pants on. I see these girls as more going for the sex-symbol thing. I was more, in the band, like a tomboy. Of course, I think every girl is sexy, so there's going to be a little of that. But I see a lot of younger artists going more toward the sexy thing."

On her marriage to Gavin Rossdale:
"The first time we ever kissed was right around Valentine's Day; we were in New Orleans on tour. I always think about that because it's unbelievable that we've been able to stay together. I feel so proud of us. It's one of my biggest achievements."

"We're not really sure who's coming back yet, so we'll see," she tells E!. "Right now we're deciding. It's a family decision between my husband, my kids and I, and we have a little time to decide and I'm kind of deciding what I want to do."

It's a Girl for Ultimate Baby Daddy Kevin Federline!

It's a girl for Britney Spears ex-husband Kevin Federline, 33, and his girlfriend Victoria Prince!

The ultimate baby daddy of five confirmed the news that Prince is five months pregnant with their first child. They have even picked out the baby's name.

"[Victoria] said that if we were going to have a little girl, she wanted to name her Jordan, " Kevin reveals to US Weekly. "And then, we actually thought that it was a boy, but we stuck with the name Jordan because, you know, it fits both ways. We just found out the other day that we're having a girl. So it worked out!"

Jordan will be Federline's fifth child joining his two sons with Britney Spears -- Sean Preston, 5, and Jayden James, 4, -- and his two children with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson -- daughter Kori, 8, and son Kaleb, 6.

Christina Aguilera Is Ready for a Big Comeback on The Voice

Christina Aguilera is woman enough to own up to her mistakes! The singer has had a rough couple of months -- first she messed up the National Anthem during the Super Bowl, then she slipped on-stage after her big Grammy performance, and then she capped it all off by being arrested for public intoxication last month.

"In light of the past year, there have been obvious setbacks," the new judge of The Voice tells US Weekly. "I've gone through a really hard divorce, and anyone who has gone through a divorce will speak about how hard the journey is from start to finish. It's a life-uprooting time and there have been hiccups along the way that unfortunately the whole world gets to witness and judge."

Aguilera is getting through it all with the help of her 3-year-old son Max and her own sense of humor. "I can laugh about my own hiccups and my own experiences in life because I'm getting through it," Christina adds.

It is her real-life humanity that Christina thinks makes her a valuable judge to the contestants on The Voice. She says, "I just wanted to approach this show very openly. I'm human, too, and people make mistakes and go through things in life and I'm definitely taking that into the show."

The one thing we know is that tv audiences love a big comeback and Christina is poised to become the new comeback kid!

Kirstie Alley and Maks have been ruling the dance floor this season on Dancing with the Stars. At least, they were until Maks had a mistep during last night's Rumba which ended with both dancers on the floor.

The fall was momentarily scary, but Maks later went on to explain that his thigh muscle merely gave out and it had nothing to do with Kirstie's dancing skills. The couple ended up with their lowest scores of the season (a 21 out of 30) despite hitting the floor.
